Alisha Rai's Waiting For Her was just as delightful as Falling For Him, which is no real surprise. I basically slam the one-click-buy button on anything Alisha writes at this point. I've yet to be—disappointed, I've yet to be less than thrilled.
One thing I particularly enjoyed in Waiting For Her was the way Sasha gets it in his head that he needs to be all kind and gentle with Maira, and the way she ends up disabusing him of that notion. Gorgeous, fun, sexy as hell.
Right now, I'm loving Courtney Milan's Trial By Desire. This was recommended to me by a couple of people when I was asking about titles that featured characters in recovery from mental illness of some kind. I'm about 20% of the way through, and it's fascinating to read a period appropriate explanation of what someone with bipolar disorder might have gone through. And the heroine is a classic Courtney Milan character, kicking ass and taking names and showing up dressed for dinner. LOVE IT.
Work has been busier than normal as I accidentally launched a side business writing custom romance and erotica stories. More on that to come soon...
I also got back the rights to a story that had originally been sold to Cleis Press for an anthology that didn't happen due to the Start sale. After some debate, and not finding another anthology market that would be suitable for it right now, I decided to self publish it. It's a short read, priced at a dollar. I think it'll give you a reason to keep pressing that iced tea up against your throat. Check it out.
